Perhaps more than at any other time in my life, it feels our children are burdened with unrealistic expectations. It troubles me, especially now that I am a grandmother that so much of what we are visually exposed to is subliminal, so much of what we hear is negative & so much of what we experience is contra to our nature.
The Human animal is perfect & beautiful just the way we are, I don’t mean to say there is no room for improvement & progress but that, just as wild nature is ‘terribly’ perfect. We are too, we can’t not be..because we are one and the same whether we realise it or not.
The moment we deeply believe this, we free our selves to live the rest of our lives without the compounding insecurities that come from comparing ourselves endlessly with that which we can not be.
“Beauty is not in the face, beauty is a light in the heart” Kahlil Gibran
I have always felt this way, perhaps because growing up as a child from extremely unconventional parents, they somehow managed to instil in me a profound laziness to confirm, I’ve never had the pull to be normal, I’ve only ever answered the pull of my creative passions, this is why I didn’t formulate Natural Wisdom Skincare to make you more beautiful, perhaps I’d be rich now if I had but it’s my belief that ‘We’, ‘You’ are already beautiful.. & I didn’t formulate our products to be ‘anti ageing’ either, another step away from convention, because I believe we are beautiful & perfect at EVERY age..
Ageing is wisdom & we are all for it not against it!
When all is said & done, humans are nature, we may be lost down the rabbit hole of ‘civilisation building’ but at the level of our vital force, the spark of life that animates is & without which we would not exist, we can not be any more perfectly beautiful & terrible, just as nature is than we are! ???
