The Lamu Bar is a luxuriously indulgent fusion of Colloidal Oatmeal, Creamed Coconut, Cinnamon & real Bourbon Vanilla blended with gentle plant cleansers & Shea butter. Water activated, the Lamu Bar yields a thick creamy lather that gently removes make up and pollution without harming your delicate acid mantle, leaving skin feeling soft, nourished and vibrantly clean. A gorgeous day and night cleanser for all types of skin with the comforting aroma of real vanilla.
A Lamu Bar typically lasts between 14 & 20 weeks making our LAmu Bars excellent value compared to similar solid cleansers. The Lamu Bar is also significantly better value than a bottles cleanser, providing you with superior results.
Skin Affinity Ritual
- Activate the bar by holding it under warm water for a moment.
- Massage the Lamu Bar between your hands until a thick creamy lather has been created.
- Take a few moments to savour the comforting Vanilla fragrance, relaxing your whole body.
- Cleanse your face & neck thoroughly, massaging well.
- Rinse your skin with plenty of warm water.
Product Care. Store the Lamu Bar on a folded dry cloth or on a dry soap dish. This will ensure you get the very best from your Lamu Bar time and time again.
Lamu Bar Ingredients
+Sodium cocoyl isethionate (SCI), **Brassica alcohol, **Cetyl alcohol, *Butyrospermum parkii (shea) nut butter, *Glycerine, Aqua, **Coco-glucoside, **Glyceryl oleate, *Avena sativa (oat kernel) extract, *Cocos nucifera (whole coconut fruit) cream, *Vanilla extract with seeds (water, vanilla extract, vanilla seeds, ethanol), Sugar, Inulin, Tragacanth, **Trimethylglycine (natural betaine), *Curcuma Longa (turmeric) root powder, *Cinamomum cassia bark (cinnamon) powder, *Vanilla pod (whole), natural food grade Vanilla aroma flavor.

+ Despite being produced and sold as a 'naturally derived surfactant', Sodium cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) is NOT currently 'Approved' by Ecocert or COSMOS but we have chosen to use it instead of the alternative 'approved' SLSa because SCI is Palm Oil Free, Sulfate Free, Vegan, very gentle for the skin & hair & readilly biodegradable.

Lamu bar
Lamu bar smells like a super nice breakfast. It leaves your skin feeling clean but not tight at all. Brilliant for all types of skin, even with rosacea!

The Lamu Bar
The Lamu bar is creamy, with a warm and sweet scent, that is heavenly. I used it on my hair when I ran out of shampoo, which helped to heal my itchy scalp. I was hesitant about buying it as I had never spent that amount on a bar, but it is worth the price. The product has high quality ingredients and is pH balanced. I have sensitive skin that can easily breakout and become red and irritated. I find it difficult to find products that are pH balanced and doesn't contain too many ingredients, this is what made the bar attractive. I always look forward to receiving my order, the packaging is beautiful and wrapped with love and care. I contacted Maeve to ask if she would consider making a shampoo bar similar to this, she was so kind to get back in touch to say that she would work on one. Thank you

I bought the large bar after loving the sample size. The lather on my face is soothing and delicate. The smell is gentle and gorgeous, which is unusual for me as I find most vanilla in products too overpowering. First time I’ve used soap on my face for years. Who knew washing your face could be so pleasurable? Thank you for a wonderful product.

This has to be a little bar of heaven and joy, a joy to use and heaven on my skin . I have very sensitive skin and I have a form of dermatitis which loves to flare up from time to time and this little bar often is the only thing that I can use that doesn’t irritate my skin , it doesn’t cause redness , I can’t recommend this enough ! Please try it . I love everything crime Maeve , she’s a true angel .

A pleasure to wash with!
This was my first Natural Wisdom purchase and it was so good I went on to quickly buy 2 more products. First of all, the fragrance. Oh my! Then the quality of the ingredients is so obvious as you 'lather' it in your hands. So creamy, not really a lather. A pleasure to work over the face with no stinging around the eyes and easily rinsed away. My face was left feeling thoroughly cleansed, moisturised, not at all tight - and deliciously scented!

The Lamu bar is something I refuse to live without. It has transformed my skin routine, I use it every night before I sleep. This has become my favourite daily cleanser, with its rich and creamy lather and gorgeous natural vanilla fragrance … it leaves my skin feeling clean and calm, with no sensitivity whatsoever … I follow it with Solace serum moisturiser, my skin loves this combination.
